Activ takes Iceberg to the water

Iceberg Vision have partnered with Activ Power & Sail, to produce bespoke programmes that raise water-based, team-building packages to a new higher level.

New packages will address the fact that most water-based, ‘team-building’ programmes currently on the market are miss promoted as serious skills development courses, yet in reality they are little more than ‘team-bonding’ / fun events. Whilst having fun together certainly has its place and meets social objectives, current programmes offer limited positive performance change and do not offer demonstrable return on investment (ROI) measurement.

The new Activ-Iceberg packages address positive performance change for individuals and teams using a powerful mix of experiential learning and developmental theory. Based on pre-determined objectives, stimulating and structured challenges are created and delivered on board Activ’s fleet of top-specification racing yachts and rigid inflatable boats (RIBs). Through analysis, observation and feedback, a process is devised to transfer learned skills back to the workplace. Subsequent internal monitoring then provides measurement against pre-set performance statistics to assess the ROI of the event.

Mark Jones, Iceberg Vision Managing Director comments:

“Team-building on the water is a perfect combination – it presents people with a challenge in an unpredictable, alien environment and places demands on the skills needed to be an exceptional leader or part of a high performing team. We are very pleased to work with Activ on this new venture and believe that our shared passion for excellence will provide demonstrable, positive results for companies looking to maximise their performance.”

Find out more about the programmes at the FREE Activ Demo Day on Friday 23rd May or by visiting the corporate team building pages on the Activ web site.
